Senior Buyers

up to £60k plus car, bonus and benefits

As part of its exciting approach to food retailing, our client a market leader on the high street has created a brand known for good quality coupled with excellent value. The recent introduction of a wide range of new initiatives and strategies have been major factors in its continued success and they are now seeking to appoint some rising stars to lead critical areas of the buying function who will have direct influence on the company’s existing market share and future growth plans.

Put simply, as Buying Manager your goal is to grow turnover and improve profit margins. Working with their key suppliers you will drive and implement a broad range of initiatives in your category across the group. You will be expected to make a significant impact within a company ambitious to capitalise on its growing market share by focussing on innovation, range development and manage costs incurred along the supply chain.

The successful applicants are likely to be individuals who can anticipate rather than react to commercial issues. You will most definitely be an experienced buyer with an intuitive feel for customer demands and a comprehensive understanding of the food markets. Teamwork is your forte, but you are also a fiercely independent thinker with the personal energy and presence to negotiate. You will also have strong commercial acumen, outstanding communication skills, together with a proven track record of achievement. In return our client is offering an executive package that includes bonus, company car and benefits. A full relocation package is available.
