On Line Marketing Manager
Our client is the UK subsidiary of a leading, privately owned European e-commerce specialist that sells a range of consumer products for the home, office and outdoors. Founded in Germany it has grown rapidly and has a presence in many key markets including France, Sweden and The Netherlands. The UK office opened two years ago and in that time has grown rapidly, investing in both systems and people and this market is seen as critical to its overall growth plans.
With a growth forecast of 50% this year they are seeking an individual who will spearhead the online marketing activity, for the UK market, lead their marketing and web team and play a pivotal role in increasing sales volume and customer growth.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the website, its content and usability, marketing and brand strategy, managing both the marketing team and external agencies to maximise growth. Key responsibilities will include paid search, SEO, affiliates and partners. You will control a substantial marketing budget, have P&L responsibility, manage a team and work closely with key executives in both the UK and Europe in driving the merchandising strategy.
They are seeking an individual with considerable online marketing experience gained in a consumer environment with strong understanding of direct marketing techniques. Equally you will need strong commercial acumen, excellent interpersonal skills and a flair for analysis. This is a unique opportunity to join a major business at the beginning of its UK expansion.
